(FOX40.COM) — A routine traffic stop in Sacramento led to a massive drug bust, according to the California Highway Patrol Valley Division.

On Tuesday, CHP announced that K9 Olex sniffed out and located 34 pounds of methamphetamine in a TLX Acura. Photos of the bust show a K9 dog posed in front of the vehicle with a mound of brown brick-like packages stacked on top of it.

“Thanks to Olex’s sharp senses, we’ve made our community a little safer today. Great job, Olex!” CHP said on social media.

The CHP bust is one of several drug busts that have happened throughout Northern California. Most recently, the Sacramento Police Department near North Natomas said it dismantled an illegal drug operation that led to the discovery of guns, jewelry, marijuana, mushrooms, and over $50,000 in cash.
