West Sacramento hotel under renovation goes up in flames

(FOX40.COM) — A West Sacramento hotel went up in flames on Wednesday morning and caused a multi-hour firefight, according to the West Sacramento Fire Department.

Just before 1 a.m., fire crews responded to the Radisson Hotel on Halyard Drive which has been undergoing renovations.

The fire was elevated to a 2-alarm as fire crews worked to keep the flames from spreading to nearby structures.

After a five-hour firefight, crews were able to knock down the flames and begin addressing hot spots across the building.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
