(FOX40.COM) — The roar of fighter jets will erupt in the skies over Sacramento County a little earlier in 2025 as the California Capital Airshow has moved to March.

For the first time ever, the California Capital Airshow will be from March 22-23 and that edition will see the return of the United States Navy Blue Angels after several years.

This will be the first time the Blues have flown over Sacramento since their visit in 2019.

According to the Blue Angels calendar, Sacramento will be the world-famous demonstration team’s second stop of their nine-month tour.

The airshow will once again be held at historic Mather Airport , which has been a center for aviation since 1918 when it was known as Mills Field.
