SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) – The Kings are once again bringing in veteran free agents to work out with roster players in Sacramento ahead of the opening of training camp on Oct. 1.

According to sources, 12-year NBA veteran forward Jae Crowder is the most recent to schedule some time in the Capital City for some on-court workouts at the Kings training facility inside Golden 1 Center.

The 34-year-old forward played the last two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks. He appeared in 50 games, a starting player in 25 of those games, averaging 6.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.8 steals in 23.1 minutes per contest.

Last month, the Kings held similar workouts with free agents Isaiah Thomas, Lonnie Walker IV, Juan Toscano-Anderson and Tony Bradley.

Crowder is known throughout his career as a reliable 3-and-D option from the wing, and his postseason experience, twice appearing in the NBA Finals, playing in 115 playoff games, a starter in 86 of those contests.

A second-round pick by Cleveland in 2012, the 6-foot-6 Crowder has made a name for himself as a quality defender, providing a strong, physical presence on the floor. He has career averages of 9.3 points (shooting 51% from the floor, 35% from the perimeter), 4.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 seals per game.

Prior to his stint in Milwaukee, over his career, Crowder has had stops with the Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, Utah Jazz, Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks.
