(FOX40.COM) — More than 150 Amazon employees will be affected as the company works to relocate its West Sacramento distribution site.

In a statement sent to FOX40 on Wednesday, Amazon said the facility closure is due to a lease expiration at their current facility.

“This is not about reducing headcount,” Amazon wrote. “Our team is working with every employee to ensure they move to another Amazon operations location nearby.”

Amazon said they are working with impacted employees by offering relocation to other distribution facilities or finding them other positions within the company.

The warehouse at 3620 Ramos Drive will close on October 30. Amazon’s warehouse in Irvine will close on Nov. 7 after the company also decided not to renew the lease at that location.
