(FOX40.COM) — Within two days, CAL FIRE Law Enforcement officers arrested two people connected to arsons in Northern California.

CAL FIRE officers operating in Butte County made arrests on Sept. 6 and Sept. 7 related to two separate arson fires.

Jesse James Creekmore, 25, was arrested in connection to an arson fire on Aug. 28 at the intersection of Kelly Ridge Road and Highway 162.

The fire threatened valuable infrastructure at Miner’s Ranch Reservoir, Saddle Dam and a nearby water treatment facility, according to CAL FIRE.

Fire crews contained the fire to just 30 feet by 30 feet before it could cause significant damage.

Creekmore is facing charges of arson to wildland and delaying an investigation.

The following day, fire crews responded to the 4200 block of Lincoln Boulevard, south of Oroville, for reports of a vegetation fire.

Within 40 minutes, fire crews were able to knock down the fire and CAL FIRE officers were informed about a person suspected of starting the fire.

Omar Luna Rocha, 35, was arrested after admitting to starting the fire on a property he did not have permission to be on, according to CAL FIRE.

Rocha has been booked into the Butte County Jail.
