(FOX40.COM) — A building caught fire Saturday after foil balloons made their way into powerlines, according to the Sacramento Fire Department .

Around 1:52 p.m., fire crews responded to a grass and tree fire that quickly spread to a nearby vacant building. Firefighters said parts of the roof were burned, but quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported and Sac Fire said stray mylar balloons in the power lines started the fire.

Video footage from the incident shows several deflated balloons on the ground. Officials did not specify where the balloons came from, however, they are typically associated with birthdays and other special occasions. Sometimes, the balloons are released into the air as a symbol of celebration.
