Sacramento police involved in shooting, avoid area

(FOX40.COM) –The Sacramento Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that involved one of its officers.

The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Saturday near Beloit Drive and Bell Avenue. SPD said no one from its force was injured, however, one person was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition. A heavy police presence was still in the area as of 5:51 p.m.

Police did not reveal the person’s identity in the hospital, however, they said the incident would be investigated internally.
