Roseville vehicle explosion found to be targeted

(FOX40.COM) — Police are investigating an explosion that damaged a car in Roseville on Thursday morning, according to the Roseville Police Department.

Officers arrived at Circut Drive in central Roseville at 6 a.m. for reports of a vandalized vehicle.

A detonated explosive device was found inside a vehicle that had shattered all of its glass.

The vehicle was also found to be abandoned and no one was around the vehicle at the time of the explosion.

Investigators determined the explosive device was intentionally placed in the vehicle, but are working to learn why it was targeted.
