Northern California woman accused of fatally shooting her husband

(FOX40.COM) — A woman from Tracy, California has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of her husband , Tracy Police said on Thursday.

The agency said that the shooting occurred on Wednesday on Hampshire Lane, in the northwestern part of the city, about 25 miles southwest of Stockton.

The 43-year-old woman was arrested on charges of murder and using a firearm causing death or great bodily injury and was taken to the San Joaquin County Jail.

Her 53-year-old husband died on Thursday despite efforts by medical staff, police said.
