(FOX40.COM) – Yelp announced that a Sacramento-area restaurant made its 2024 nationwide list of the top 25 places to eat Mexican food.

“We looked to our Yelp reviewers for the very best Mexican food in the U.S.,” Yelp said on its site . “Our hungry community visited food trucks, roadside taquerias, elegant sit-down dining rooms—even places that feel like a family kitchen—to bring you the truly top spots. In fact, every place on our list boasts a 4.8- to 5-star average.”
Latino Book & Family Festival returning to Sacramento City College Coming in high on the list at number 3, The Char Market in Carmichael was named by Yelp as one the best places in America to indulge in Mexican cuisine.
“Just 8 months after opening, this fast-casual Mexican grill in the Sacramento suburb of Carmichael has racked up nearly 200 5-star Yelp ratings,” Yelp said. “And it’s no wonder. The decor is simple, the menu uncomplicated, but the ‘over-the-top’ grilled flavors are anything but average.”
California residents to get digital IDs and driver’s licenses: Here’s how to sign up The menu at Char Market boasts of “marinated steak, smoky chicken, or juicy shrimp to top your plate, salad, fries, or tacos.” Yelp suggested, “Feeling adventurous? Order the not-so-traditional ‘extremely succulent’ Bone Marrow Plate.”
Char Market was one of only two California Mexican food restaurants to make the list. The other, Restaurante Los Primos in Palm Desert, came in at number 6. Other states at the top of Yelp’s best Mexican food list were Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Hawaii, Oregon, and Texas.
