Calaveras County dismantles another six-figure illegal marijuana grow

(FOX40.COM) — The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office recently busted another six-figure marijuana operation that included more than 1,000 plants valued up to $447,600.

The bust came just one week after another operation was dismantled that was found to have over 2,500 plants worth between $510,600 to $765,900.

Around 8 a.m. on Sept. 12, CCSO and the California Department of Fish & Wildlife executed a search warrant in the 4000 block of Chuckwagon Road in Copperopolis for an illegal marijuana cultivation operation. There, deputies said they found 1,044 marijuana plants, a container of methamidophos, and several large hoop houses. The operation had an estimated value between $291,000 to $447,600, according to CCSO.

Three individuals were arrested and booked into the county jail in connection with multiple charges associated with the illegal cultivation operation.
