(FOX40.COM) — A person is safe after re-entering a burning home Tuesday to locate a pet, Sacramento Metro Fire said.

According to the fire department, crews responded to a “well involved” house fire on Ivy Creek Drive around 1 p.m. which was threatening two neighboring structures.

The fire department said everyone inside the house was able to get out but one person went back in to find a dog. The person was able to get out again safely.

The fire was put out and the neighboring homes sustained “minor exterior damages.”

The fire department warned the public against re-entering a burning structure.

You know, if you’re going to report on something at least do it right, not half-ass. 🙄 The condition of the pet might be nice to know.
