    Earthquake hits Northern California, felt in several areas

    (FOX40.COM) — Some Northern California residents woke up to 3.6 magnitude earthquake Saturday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey .

    USGS said the earthquake struck around 8:30 a.m. in Walker. The area is about 100 miles east of Sacramento and 37 miles southeast from South Lake Tahoe. Residents in Sacramento, South Lake Tahoe, Tuolumne County, Pollock Pines, and several places near the California and Nevada border reportedly felt the quake .
