(FOX40.COM) — A Stanislaus County collision involving a pedestrian on Friday morning ended with a fatality, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 3 a.m., deputies found a person with severe injuries in the 12000 block of Yosemite Blvd.

‘Thirsty thieves’ nabbed in Northern California with nearly two dozen Stanley cups

Deputies performed life-saving measures on the pedestrian before they were taken to an area hospital for further treatment.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Despite continued medical care, the pedestrian did die of their injuries.

Investigators say that drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
