    Man booked on homicide charge following fatal Sacramento crash

    (FOX40.COM) — A man was arrested and booked on charges of homicide and vehicular manslaughter following a fatal crash early Monday morning, the Sacramento Police Department said.

    According to police, officers responded to a two-vehicle collision around 12:45 a.m. near Sunmeadow Drive and Franklin Boulevard.

    Officers discovered a man with life-threatening injuries who later died at the scene.

    Police said the driver of one of the vehicles “displayed objective signs of intoxication” and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

    After he was released, the suspect, a 46-year-old Elk Grove resident, was arrested and booked into Sacramento County Jail.
