$2.3M winning ticket sold at Primm lottery store, one number away from jackpot

LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — One lucky winner was just one number away from a $336 million dollar jackpot after buying a Powerball ticket at the Primm Valley Lotto store. But the prize they won is not too shabby.

According to the California lottery website , a Powerball ticket sold at the Nipton, California store won its holder a prize of $2,321,838 on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

The ticket matched five winning numbers – 25, 32, 43, 53, and 66 – and only missed the Powerball number: 10.

The store located in Primm is the closest location for southern Nevada ticket buyers who wish to play in the lottery because the state constitution prohibits lotteries in Nevada .

Drawings for the Powerball are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
