    Three new judges appointed to the Sacramento Superior Court

    (FOX40.COM) — California’s governor has appointed three judges to the Sacramento Superior Court , the courthouse announced this week.

    The appointments are part of a total of 18 judges appointed to courts across the state.

    New judges appointed to the Sacramento Superior Court are Lee S. Bickley, Joseph M. Cress and Brenda R. Dabney. All three are from Sacramento County.

    A news release from the court said Bickley was most recently a senior attorney at the California Public Employees’ Retirement System, and was an assistant attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California.

    Cress was most recently a chief assistant public defender at the Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office, having served there in multiple roles since 1995.

    Dabney was most recently a regional director at the Children’s Law Center of California and had served in several positions there since 2001.

    A new courthouse is expected to open in the coming months, adding to the downtown Sacramento skyline.
