One person killed in Modesto collision

(FOX40.COM) — A solo vehicle collision in Modesto on Thursday morning resulted in a single death, according to the Modesto Police Department.

The vehicle, a black BMW, was traveling westbound on Floyd Avenue when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a concrete wall.

Firefighters arrived at the crash around 1 a.m. and found the driver pinned inside the vehicle.

After extracting them from the vehicle the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not said whether drugs and or alcohol contributed to the crash.
