(FOX40.COM) — A woman and a child being pushed in a stroller were nearly hit by a truck fleeing from law enforcement while crossing at Titan Way and Elverta Road in June, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the woman to gain information that could help them in prosecuting an ongoing case.

Deputies were pursuing Evgeniy Gubanov, of Rio Linda, on the night of June 10 after he allegedly failed to pull over for law enforcement.

Gubanov had allegedly been involved in a chase with law enforcement a week prior that was called off due to the safety risks associated with the chase.

Dashcam footage from the pursuing deputy’s vehicle shows Gubanov’s vehicle driving erratically as it went through several red lights and made illegal turns.

It was at the intersection of Elverta Raod and Titan Way, near Antelope High School, that Gubanov’s vehicle came within inches of striking the woman and child.

The chase ended when Gubranov crashed his truck and attempted to flee from deputies on foot before being arrested.

Anyone with information on who that woman is can call 530-889-7830.
