NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — A $67 million mixed-use development is coming to Noblesville.

According to a press release, the Noblesville Common Council approved a plan to redevelop vacant land near the former Noblesville Milling Company granary site on Tuesday.

The property the development will sit on is about three acres in size, and it is bounded by South 8th, South 9th, Mulberry and Walnut Streets.

Flaherty and Collins, an Indiana-based property group overseeing the project, indicated the development will be four stories tall and include 225 luxury apartments and 5,000 square feet of retail space. A 300-space garage will also be built near the development to provide parking for the complex’s tenants and retail customers.

Per the City of Noblesville, the southern portion of the development will also include a trailhead area to the Midland Trace and Nickel Plate Trails. The trailhead will feature public restrooms and lockers.

The development is part of the city’s Reimagine Pleasant Street project, which is a multi-year initiative designed to help improve Noblesville’s east-west connectivity. Per the city, the initiative will also “provide Noblesville residents, local businesses, and key stakeholders with many improvements that will enhance mobility and public safety while also honoring the urban character and historic features of the project area.”

The Reimagine Pleasant Street project will also connect three major trails — Nickel Plate, Midland Trace and Riverwalk — when it is completed.

“This is the first significant project along the new Pleasant Street Corridor, and one that will further invest in the livability for current and future Noblesville residents,” Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen said via release . “A priority for my administration, this development will feature architecture that complements the surrounding historic area, provides a new housing option, walkable and neighborhood-oriented amenities, and pedestrian connectivity to the nearby trail system.”

The name for the new development is the The Granary. Construction on the project is expected to begin in summer 2025 and end in summer 2027.

“As Noblesville continues to grow, it’s essential that we invest in developments that will benefit our community for the future,” Noblesville Common Council President Darren Peterson said via release. “This project will reflect the history of our downtown while offering unique architecture and new amenities to enhance the quality of place and life for our residents.”

Per a release, The Granary will include resort-style amenities like a saltwater pool and aqua lounge, co-working areas, a state-of-the-art fitness center, an outdoor kitchen with grilling stations and fire pits, a game room with billiards, a pet spa, a bike shop and storage area and a club room with a kitchen, bar and seating for groups.

“We could not be more excited to partner with the City of Noblesville to bring a first-class, transformational development to the Pleasant Street Corridor, a project that all residents can be proud of and enjoy,” Flaherty and Collins Chairman Emeritus and Principal Jerry Collins said via release. “Noblesville is a thriving, vibrant community that myself and many of our employees and executives are proud to call home.”

The City of Noblesville’s Reimagine Pleasant Street project is slated to be completed by the end of 2025. More information on the initiative is available here .
