ISP: 3 arrested on child solicitation charges

ANDERSON, Ind. — The Indiana State Police announced the arrests of three people, all charged with child solicitation following an undercover investigation.

On Aug. 22, ISP said three suspects were arrested near the Lapel exit on Interstate 69, all of which were engaged in a social media sting in which an undercover ISP detective posed as a truck driver who was traveling with a teenage daughter.

The three suspects now face the following charges:

• 27-year-old Cameron Kelley of Indianapolis: Child solicitation (Level 4 felony), possession of methamphetamine (Level 6 felony)
• 28-year-old Alexandria Leaman of Indianapolis: Child solicitation (Level 4 felony), possession of methamphetamine (Level 6 felony)
• 26-year-old Reginald Davis of Birmingham, Ala.: Child solicitation (Level 4 felony)

ISP also reported that Kelley initially mentioned he was “super interested in (the officer’s) daughter”. However, in an interview, he said he and his wife wanted to make contact to determine if a child was involved. If there was, they said they would call the police.

Davis also reportedly told ISP that he thought their investigation was an offer for sex with an adult female, but asked about sex with a juvenile during the text conversation with the undercover officer. Like Kelley, he claimed he would call police if a juvenile was involved.
