An officer with the ISP was patrolling near Markland Avenue at approximately 9 p.m. on Friday evening in Howard County when he attempted to stop a GMC for failing to stay within their lane. The truck did not stop, leading the responding officer on a vehicle pursuit through Kokomo for several blocks.

The preliminary investigation suggested that Armfield was intoxicated. Armfield was transported to an area hospital for a certified test before being transported to the Howard County Jail.

During a search of the vehicle, officers found what was suspected to be cocaine, methamphetamine, legend drug, and drug paraphernalia, according to a press release from the ISP.

Information will be updated as it becomes available.
