GREENWOOD, Ind. – A man suffered non-life-threatening injuries following a Friday morning shooting in Greenwood.

Officers were dispatched around 6:20 a.m. to the area near County Line Road and North Meridian Street on the Johnson County side.

They found a 35-year-old man who’d been shot in the leg and arm. He was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and was listed in stable condition. His injuries were non-life-threatening, police said.

Images from the scene showed multiple police cars responded.

Greenwood police said the shooting happened at a nearby residence. They took a 59-year-old man into custody for questioning. The individuals were “well acquainted” with each other, police said.

The case remains under investigation. Detectives will forward their findings to the Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office for a final charging decision.
