    Plainfield police searching for suspect after armed robbery of a bank

    PLAINFIELD, Ind. — Plainfield police are searching for a suspect accused of committing an armed robbery at a bank on Friday.

    According to the Plainfield Police Department, officers were dispatched to 2485 E. Main Street, the listed address for North Salem State Bank, in response to an armed robbery.

    PPD said the suspect walked into the bank clad in entirely black clothing and also wearing a face covering, tennis shoes and a tan bucket hat. Detectives are continuing to review surveillance footage from the business as part of their investigation. Some still images from the footage can be viewed below:

    The suspect managed to escape from the crime scene in a black and silver bicycle, PPD said. Anyone with information related to the suspect’s location is asked to contact PPD at 317-754-5200.
