INDIANAPOLIS — In a new long-term partnership, Ascension St. Vincent and Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital have become the official healthcare partner and children’s hospital of the Indianapolis Colts.

According to a press release, the main goal of this partnership is to keep Colts fans of all ages healthy and under professional treatment. However, Ascension St. Vincent also said they want to reach new and larger audiences than ever before, while also raising awareness about wellness as a whole.

In fact, for each home game, Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital said they will choose two young patients to serve as the “Coin Toss Kid” and “Kick Off Kid”, respectively. Each of these kids will also have their stories featured in Scout, the Colts gameday program.

Both officials from Ascension St. Vincent and the Colts spoke on the matter.

“Ascension St. Vincent and our world-champion Indianapolis Colts share the same values of service to our community, especially for those who are most in need…” said Kevin Speer, JD, the CEO of Ascension St. Vincent and the Senior Vice President of Ascension. “…We are excited about working with the Colts to put in motion this powerful relationship in the spirit of service to our neighbors, our communities and our mutual fans.”

Jim Irsay, the Colts owner and CEO, echoed these sentiments. “We look forward to working together in the years to come to highlight health and wellness in our communities and help improve health outcomes for our friends, fans and neighbors across Indiana,” he said. “And the fact that we’ll have another opportunity to work with Peyton [Manning] and give hope to countless children makes this even more special.”
