    Franklin PD: Man arrested after kicking, threatening 11-year-old with knife

    FRANKLIN, Ind. — A 38-year-old man was arrested by the Franklin Police Department earlier this month in regard to child abuse allegations, as well as other allegations of battering a woman.

    According to a news release from the department, Terrence Turner was arrested on the following charges:

    • One count of attempted aggravated battery, a Level 3 felony
    • One count of domestic battery on a child under 14, a Level 6 felony.

    On Sept. 6, detectives with the Franklin Police Department began investigating child abuse allegations against Turner.

    The release alleges that an 11-year-old child had reportedly been kicked and threatened with a knife. Officials also allege that a woman had been battered by Turner.

    After an initial investigation, Turner was arrested. The release said that Turner is currently being held in the Johnson County Jail without bond.

    Officials said this is an ongoing investigation and additional charges may be filed.
