3 injured in serious car crash on Indy’s east side

INDIANAPOLIS — Three adults were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a serious car crash on Indy’s east side.

Indianapolis police were called around 1:45 p.m. to the intersection of N. Post Road and Carla Drive for a two-car crash. Upon arrival, IMPD crews found a red SUV and a heavily damaged gray SUV.

Three people, all believed to be adults, were injured in the crash. The female driver of the red SUV was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The male driver of the gray SUV was hospitalized in stable condition. The male passenger in the gray SUV was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, but his condition was last updated to stable.

IMPD said that crash investigation detectives arrived on scene and took over the investigation. Intoxication is not believed to be a factor in the crash.

No other information was immediately provided by IMPD.
