ALS Association to host Walk to Defeat ALS

INDIANAPOLIS — Residents of Central Indiana will descend on the Indiana State Fairgrounds this upcoming weekend to raise money for people living with ALS.

The ALS Association will host its Walk to Defeat ALS on Saturday at Celebration Park at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The check-in for the walk is at 8 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m.

According to the association’s website, participants are raising money for treatment for those living with ALS, and ultimately a cure. The money is expected to fund education, support groups, as well as access to care and advocacy.

“We are working to defeat ALS and provide hope to people living with ALS and their families,” the website read.

On Monday, Lesley Eberle, the development manager for the association, was featured on the FOX59 Morning News to share more about the walk.
