INDIANAPOLIS — Police are looking for help finding a man who went missing on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said Justin Cavin was last seen in the 2100 block of West Morris Street.

Justin Cavin is a 44-year-old man. He is 6-foot-1 and weighs approximately 180 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes.

Police believe Cavin may require medical assistance.

After IMPD announced that Cavin had gone missing, Indiana State Police issued a statewide Green Alert for Cavin. It is believed to be the first Green Alert ever issued in Indiana.

First introduced as a bill earlier this year, Green Alerts are sent out for missing, at-risk veterans. The goal of the Green Alert legislation was to potentially help reduce the risks mental health disorders pose to veterans.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
