WESTFIELD, Ind. – Westfield is set to welcome a $27 million “transformational” project on the east side of downtown.

Ambrose on Main is a multi-use development with a plaza, courtyard, rooftop patio, restaurant, commercial space and residential units.

Located at the northeast corner of State Road 32/Main Street and East Street, the development will feature a plaza and courtyard spanning 6,000 square feet, a 2,000-square-foot rooftop patio and more than 12,000 square feet of new commercial space.

It will also offer 87 one- and two-bedroom apartments with “modern finishes” and amenities like a work-from-home lounge, indoor/outdoor café, fitness center, indoor bike storage and a pet spa.

Rebar Development collaborated on the project with Studio Axis (architect), Kimley-Horn (civil engineer) and CPM Construction (general contractor).

“Ambrose on Main will be a key gateway on downtown’s east side and provide more opportunities for people to live near our downtown core,” said Westfield Mayor Scott Willis.

“We are excited to partner with the City of Westfield to be a part of the extraordinary momentum and investment happening in their downtown,” said Shelby Bowen, founder and partner at Rebar Development.

Westfield worked with the Indiana Department of Transportation on several roundabout improvements on State Road 32; the intersection of SR32 and East Street will also be turned into a roundabout.

The project was presented to the Westfield Redevelopment Commission at its Sept. 16 meeting and will go before the City Council in November.

Organizers hope to start construction in February 2025, with the project slated for completion in July 2026.
