INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a new round of lane restrictions that are set to affect motorists who plan to travel on I-65 northbound near Carson Square and I-465 southbound on Marion County’s east side starting Thursday night.

According to an INDOT release, crews will restrict I-465 SB to a single lane from 56th Street to Pendleton Pike starting at 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19 until Sept. 20 at 6 a.m. Crews will shut down the 56th Street ramp to I-465 SB and the I-465 SB to Pendleton Pike ramp.

Additional work will be done on I-465 SB between Sept. 20 at 9 p.m. and Sept. 23 at 6 a.m. when crews will restrict I-465 to a single lane from 56th Street to Pendleton Pike.

These restrictions will enable crews to complete pavement restoration with bridge deck patching and joint repairs also taking place.

    I-65 NB restrictions

Starting on Friday, Sept. 20 at 9 p.m., traffic on the right lane of I-65 NB will be restricted between Thompson Road and I-465, with crews shutting down the I-65 NB to the I-465 WB ramp.

This is being done to permit crews to apply a thin deck overlay near Carson Square.
