BOONE COUNTY, Ind. — Drivers encountered significant backups Wednesday morning on I-65 north of Indianapolis.

A semi truck crashed on northbound I-65 at mile marker 147 just north of Lebanon and south of the closed rest stops.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the semi overturned. Traffic cameras showed significant backups.

INDOT said the right lane was closed. Initially, the incident closed northbound I-65 entirely.

Shortly before 8:30 a.m., the Boone County Sheriff’s Office said the interstate had reopened.

There needs to be something done about all these semi wrecks on I-65 between Indidnapolis and Frankfort. These new truck drivers are horrible.
