MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. — A woman has been charged with dealing in methamphetamine and other felony charges following an investigation led by Indiana State Police.

According to an ISP release, troopers investigated a residence on Main Street in the town of Darlington. During this investigation on Sept. 20, ISP said troopers developed probable cause to believe that a woman inside the residence, identified as 48-year-old Rebecca Scarbrough, was distributing methamphetamine.

The troopers then had a search warrant approved for the residence where they reportedly located methamphetamine, unknown pills and other drug paraphernalia.

ISP said Scarbrough was arrested and brought to the Montgomery County Jail where she was preliminarily charged with the following:

    • Dealing methamphetamine (level 5 felony)
    • Possession of methamphetamine (level 6 felony)
    • Possession of a narcotic drug (level 6 felony)
    • Possession of a legend drug (level 6 felony)
    • Possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor)

ISP confirmed that every substance troopers confiscated would be evaluated at a laboratory to “confirm the nature and quantity of the drugs.”
