    IMPD: Missing Indy woman found safely

    UPDATE: IMPD said around 5:50 p.m. Tuesday that Missing Persons Detectives safely located Selenia Evans.

    INDIANAPOLIS — Officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman last seen on Monday on the north side of Indianapolis.

    According to a news release from IMPD, detectives with the department’s missing persons unit are asking for the public’s help in locating 53-year-old Selenia Evans. Evans was last seen on Monday in the 4400 block of Winthrop Avenue.

    Officials described Evans as being 5’5″ and weighing around 135 pounds. IMPD said that Evans has brown hair and eyes.

    “(Evans) has several diagnoses and may be in need of medical attention,” the release said. “If located, please call 911 immediately.”

    Individuals with information on Evans’ whereabouts are asked to call 911 or contact the IMPD Missing Persons Unit at (317) 327-6160. Individuals can also contact the Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana by calling (317) 262-8477.
