IMPD arrests multiple suspects during investigation of armed carjacking

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested multiple suspects during its investigation of an armed carjacking Sunday afternoon.

One of FOX59 and CBS4’s crews found IMPD investigating the alleged carjacking near the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Ritter Avenue. Police at the scene confirmed they had taken multiple suspects into custody during an armed carjacking investigation.

Officers at the scene could not specify exactly how many suspects had been detained, nor could they identify them. Law enforcement did not reveal the exact location the alleged carjacking began at.

According to IMPD, nobody was injured during the carjacking. It is unclear exactly how many people were in the vehicle that was allegedly stolen by the suspects.
