According to IMPD, around 1:37 a.m. an off-duty officer heard a disturbance in the 6300 block of Guilford Ave.

While investigating the disturbance, the officer heard shots being fired and located an adult male with a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

"around 1:37 a.m. an off-duty officer heard a disturbance in the 6300 block of Guilford Ave."The only way an off-duty officer heard a disturbance that early in the morning is because he/she was the disturbance and shot the man because if he/she heard it then they also saw the other person or heard the voice of the other person which was never stated.
