Photos: Racecar paint schemes at Darlington Raceway

DARLINGTON, S.C. (WGHP) —The NASCAR Cup Series Goodyear 400 will race in Darlington with a variety of new looks amongst the race teams as Darlington is Throwback weekend celebrating NASCAR Roots.

Some of the looks celebrate team colors, like Hendrick Motorsports with all of its cars throwing back to a previous generation of Hendrick cars.

Some cars throwback to the drivers’ roots and what they raced early in their career, like the No. 4 car driven by Josh Berry that looks like a late model he drove, including the same sponsor.

Some teams chose to be cheeky, the 71 team with rookie driver Carson Hocevar running a vintage patrol car look. The red flashing light on the roof will be removed for the race.

One of the cars is a memorial to the officers killed in the shootout in Charlotte. The No. 51 car of Justin Haley has a look and stickers honoring those fallen officers.
