High Point man wins $100,000 after buying scratch-off at convenience store

JAMESTOWN, N.C. (WGHP) — Mark Douglas, of High Point, bought a $20 scratch-off and won the first $100,000 prize in a new lottery game, according to an NC Education Lottery news release.

Douglas bought his winning Instant Millions ticket from Quick Mart on West Main Street in Jamestown.

He arrived at lottery headquarters Friday to claim his prize.

After required federal and state tax withholdings, he took home $71,506.
