LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — A Lincolnton woman is going to take care of all of her grandchildren after winning a $4 million top lottery prize, North Carolina Lottery officials announced on Monday.

Rachel Sadler, of Lincolnton, bought the $30 scratch-off from the Save Mart on East Main Street on Tuesday. “I think I’m still in a state of shock,” she said.

Sadler takes home $1,716,009 after taxes.

“I’ve got a bunch of grandkids,” she told lottery officials after picking up her prize. “I want to make sure they have a nice future.”

The game debuted in July with four $4 million prizes.
