ROSEBORO, N.C. (WNCN) — Three Texas Longhorns who have been wandering rural Cumberland County after escaping a farm near Roseboro earlier this week have been found and are back in the owner’s custody.

Two cows named Vivian and Madeline and a prize-winning bull named Imperial Baron disappeared on Monday. One owner stated on Facebook that the cattle have been located late Wednesday night.

The owners, Greg and Marissa Dillion brought them home over the weekend after purchasing them in Indiana. They believe something spooked the cattle at night, causing them to jump over the fence and leave. The Dillion family has been searching along over 10,000 acres of property for their cattle.

The three Longhorns were spotted by people at the Bladen County line, and most recently in a cow pasture, several miles from the farm.
