Temperatures to slowly go up in Piedmont Triad

(WGHP) — Our high temperatures will slowly return to what we expect for late summer.

We had another cool start to the day with lows in the low to middle 50s. It will be mostly sunny on Friday afternoon with highs in the lower 80s, which is still below normal. For area high school football games on Friday night, we could have a few clouds around. Overall, it will not a bad evening with temperatures falling to around 70 degrees.

Saturday will be mostly sunny with lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Our highs will be in the low to middle 80s.

Sunday morning will be cool with lows in the lower 60s. Under mostly sunny skies, our highs will be in the mid to upper 80s, which is normal for this time of the year.

Monday will be a little warm and muggy with lows in the middle 60s and highs near 90 degrees.

Our humidity will continue to increase Tuesday through Thursday. Highs will be around 90 degrees and lows near 70 degrees. We could see an isolated evening thunderstorm on Wednesday and Thursday.
