    Greenville man charged with robbing North Carolina bank

    HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – A Greenville man was arrested Friday on charges he robbed a bank on Thursday in North Carolina.

    According to the Hendersonville Police Department, at around 10 p.m. Friday, Greenville Police located and arrested James Scott Bayne Jr., 38, of Greenville.

    Police said Bayne had previously been identified in a robbery of the State Employees Credit Union on Commercial Boulevard in Hendersonville.

    According to the police department, at around 9:23 a.m. Thursday, police were called to the credit union after a man wearing a medical face mask handed an employee a note demanding money.

    Bayne is being held in the Greenville County Detention Center awaiting extradition to North Carolina. He has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.
