High humidity in Piedmont Triad next week

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A warm but comfortable evening in the Triad with temperatures in the 70s by 8 p.m. Sunny and clear skies stick around this evening and remain clear overnight.

We’re slowly seeing moisture/humidity return which means our morning temperatures will continue to get a little warmer each day this week.

We’ll start Monday morning off in the low to mid-60s. Sunny skies and light south winds on Monday will allow us to warm into the upper 80s by the afternoon.  Humidity will start to increase but the lowest humidity and most comfortable day will be Monday before the moisture increases more by mid to late week.

Tuesday morning starts off in the upper 60s with highs reaching the low 90s. This will be our first 90-degree day since early August (high of 92° on August 2)! Sunshine continues to dominate and with the increased humidity it may feel a few degrees warmer than the low 90s.

The heat and humidity are back in full force by Wednesday with morning temperatures in the low 70s and highs reaching the mid 90s. Sunny skies and southwest winds of 5 to 10 mph.

As we continue to warm up and see the return of moisture, rain chances will also gradually return to the forecast. Thursday the chance for rain is 20% which means not everyone will see rain but isolated showers or a storm can’t be ruled out. We’ll also see temperatures in the low 70s Thursday morning with highs in the mid-90s.

Partly cloudy skies on Friday with a slightly better chance to see showers and storms. The chance for rain is 30%. Temperatures will be in the low 70s in the morning with highs in the low 90s. Friday’s humidity will reach an oppressive level. Welcome back to the August heat and humidity!

Partly cloudy skies linger through the weekend with morning temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s. Afternoon temperatures will reach the mid to upper 80s. Isolated to scattered showers or storms will be possible both Saturday and Sunday with a 30% chance of rain.
