1 dead in Hilltop Road crash between train, forklift, Greensboro police say

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Police in Greensboro are investigating a deadly crash involving a train.

On Wednesday morning, Greensboro Police Department reported that Hilltop Road was closed between Fairfax Road and Roediger Court due to a “traffic crash involving serious injuries.”

Police confirmed just before noon that the crash was fatal, between an Amtrak train and DH Griffin forklift around 8:30 a.m.

Investigators remain on the scene.

Hilltop Road was closed near Fairfax Road and Roediger Drive until around 1:30 p.m.
