    Remnants of Hurricane Francine could bring showers to Piedmont Triad

    (WGHP) — The far outer fringes of the remnants of Hurricane Francine could bring us a few showers.

    We’ll see cloudy skies Friday with highs in the middle 70s. We could see a few showers during the day. The chance of rain is 30%.

    Saturday will be cloudy with a few showers possible. Highs on Saturday will be in the upper 70s. The chance of rain is 30%.

    We’ll see cloudy skies Sunday with highs in the upper 70s. The chance of rain is 25%.

    On Monday, we will keep a close eye on a low-pressure system off of the Carolina coast. Models are showing that either a broad low-pressure system or perhaps a tropical system could bring showers to the Piedmont. For now, let’s go with rain on Monday with highs in the middle 70s. The chance of rain is 50%.

    Our possible coastal system could hang around into Tuesday with highs in the middle 70s. The chance of rain is 60%.

    For now, let’s keep scattered showers in the forecast for Wednesday with highs in the upper 70s. The chance of rain is 40%.

    It will be mostly cloudy Thursday with highs in the upper 70s. The chance of rain is 30%.
