Man killed, woman injured in double stabbing at park in North Carolina

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Two people have become victims of a possible stabbing overnight near a park, where one has died, police say in their release.

According to the release, officers responded to a report of a stabbing around 12:45 a.m. Friday in the area of the 1900 block of Maryland Avenue near Westover Park in Durham.

When they arrived, police said they located a man and a woman suffering from stab wounds.

They go on to say that EMS transported the man, who sustained serious injuries, to a local hospital. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated on the scene by EMS, police say in the release.

No one has been arrested as police continue to investigate the scene.
