    D.H. Griffin Sr, founder of Greensboro-based D.H. Griffin Companies, has died, family confirms

    GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A Triad man who founded what would become a large and successful company has died.

    Family confirmed to FOX8 that David H. “D.H.” Griffin Sr., the founder of D.H. Griffin Companies, died on Saturday night.

    Griffin founded D.H. Griffin in 1959 in Greensboro alongside Clifton D Fields. Their primary business is commercial demolition, but they also work in construction and contracting, as well as disaster cleanup.

    D.H. Griffin Companies is currently helmed by D.H. Griffin’s son, David Griffin Jr.
