Arriving deputies found a man who had been shot and killed. Investigators with the FCSO identified the victim as Brian Kermit Bare, 55, of Pfafftown.

The suspect has been identified as Omar Moore Lozada, 46, of Winston-Salem.

Lozada has been arrested and charged with:

    • one count of felony murder
    • one count of second-degree kidnapping
    • one count of discharging a weapon into occupied property
    • one count of Possession of a firearm by a felon

Lozada is in the Forsyth County Detention Center with no bond allowed.

Editor’s Note: The FCSO initially spelled the suspect’s name “Lozado” which they later amended to the correct “Lozada.” The article now reflects the correct spelling.
