Wind and rain will be making the morning commute nasty, but there will be gradual improvement through the day.

The area of low pressure that was along the South Carolina coast yesterday has moved inland and will sit and spin over central South Carolina today.

We will still have showers being drawn across the Piedmont from the coast through this afternoon, but winds are going to diminish after lunchtime.

The highs today are going to be in the mid-70s.

The chance of rain is 70%.

Showers will linger into the evening, then taper off overnight.  We will have lows in the mid-60s under cloudy skies.

There is a 70% chance of showers tomorrow with highs returning to the mid-70s.  By Thursday, the showers begin to come to an end.  Rain chances drop to 50% with highs staying in the mid-70s.

A new pattern takes over starting Friday!  High pressure will push in more sunshine on Friday and Saturday, and that will warm us back to normal, with highs near 80°.  Partly cloudy skies are expected Sunday and Monday, and highs will dip back to the mid-70s.
